I spent the day Monday taking down the IAMLAKEWORTH show. It was over so quickly, but what a great experience. Thank you Lake Worth! Normally at the end of a show I am blue for a bit until the next thing starts. Not this time. There is so much more that IAMLAKEWORTH will become that I will continue to be busy, photographing the folks for IAMLAKEWORTH II, recording interviews for the podcast and making plans for some other things related to the show I can't talk about yet. I promise as soon as there is something to announce I'll shout it from the rooftops.
When Jen walls was at the gallery for her interview she talked about the 80-20 rule for artists trying to make a living. Which is 20% creating and 80% marketing, business and administrative stuff. All of the stuff around the show has been amazing, but the creator in me also needs some me time now. There will be some scheduled time for painting and photographing nature. So, as I move forward with the next phases of IAMLAKEWORTH and make plans for other shows in other venues as well don't be surprised if I slip off to the swamps with my 4x5 camera for a day or stay off line and work on some painting. After all it is all about balance. I am going to continue to try to post 5x a week about my artistic journey in this small South Florida city. I had forgotten how much writing helps me clarify my goals and keep me on track. It really is a wonderful tool for goal setting and tracking. I will continue to share posts on the IAMLW facebook page that are about the project in some way, which may be most posts. You will just have to read to find out.
Keep Makin' Art!
