Hi Friends and Followers of IAMLAKEWORTH!

It's Tuesday, July 3rd.  Just three days until the opening and I am taking a break from framing for a few minutes.  I have been looking at all the printed pieces and reading the quotes and I asked myself "what do I want the people who attend IAMLAKEWORTH to get out of it?"  It will be great fun to see people I have worked with and met over the last two years get their first look at the pictures.  I'm really going to enjoy that about Friday night.  I'm also going to enjoy all of the Lake Worth vibe in the room with the help of the Jazz on J Street Trio and some L-Dub Tropical Ale from Mathew's Brewing.  I'm going to soak in every second of that with my friends, but there is something bigger.  I want to raise up Lake Worth, so when people look at the pictures I hope they read the quotes about what makes Lake Worth special too.  When we moved here two years ago I was told I would need a bullet proof vest to walk to Publix.  I heard tales of legendary potholes that could swallow a dog or small child.  I also heard about excessive panhandling.  The list goes on and on.  What I found was a vibrant, caring, funky beachside community.  Did we have some of the issues I heard about?  Sure and more, but not to the levels it was suggested at.  This is a very special place.  So look at the pictures and read the quotes and I hope by the end of the night you think "I AM LAKE Worth Too!"

Now back to framing or there won't be a show for people to see.
