5 Barns photographed on Rt 5&20 between Lima and Canandaigua NY last week

OK friends here is the big reveal.  Here are the five barns I photographed in NY last week as digital paintings.  Each one has its own look and feel and I am happy with all of them, but only one can be the project piece I talked about earlier.  So over the next few days, most likely into next week I will do a watercolor and acrylic painting of the chosen barn and present them together.  I'll chat about each one in terms of why the subject was good or challenging in that medium.  Now on to the winner.... With the lovely Wendy's help I chose the yellow barn.  There is a harmony to it I really like.  So look for a post or posts about the four different images I make of the yellow barn next week.

Today I will be back to taking photos of the CanvasLW outdoor museum mural project being done in ten locations in Lake Worth this week.  It has been amazing to watch the murals come to life day by day on the sides of our buildings and the bridge.  I'm also going to wander the Norton museum and get some photos to be used as studies for paintings of people looking at art in the museum.

Lastly today there is a happy hour gathering at Social House which is the co-working space I have used as office and photo studio for the last year.  It has been a great place to hang my hat and was a welcoming community when I arrived here in Lake Worth a little over a year ago.  I'll be giving up my membership as I am going back to school in December to get a project management certificate from Cornell University and hopefully a job.  Now that I am established as an artist here in town it is time to help support the household a bit.  Wendy has happily carried that load while we got settled here, but I'm in a position to balance work / life / art now so I'm happy to jump in.  Happily I will be continuing full steam with my art.  The convergence of all these things has led to one of the most creative periods of my life and I expect it to continue.

I will be traveling across the state this weekend so I may not have a chance to post, but look for new posts next week.

Keep Making' Art!
