Last night at HATCH1121 we held the second episode of Artists at the Gallery Getting Coffee. This time it was a photographer's roundtable although as my friend Brian Kirsch pointed out there is no table and it's not round. I am happy and thankful to report we had a great turnout of enthusiastic friends and neighbors to support IAMLAKEWORTH and the photographers we see around town at all of the Lake Worth Events. our host / moderator was Blanche Williams host and founder of the popular Jazz on J Street jam sessions held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Many thanks to Blanche for taking on the moderator job and making it seem easy. It is always a pleasure to work with Blanche on any project. Our panel consisted of four photographers. We all shoot the look events with varying approaches and styles. The photographers were Tom Johnson, Shawn Moss, Adriano Ficarelli and myself. the event was more of a chat with an audience than an interview and the audience members joined in and added to the conversation. I am incredibly happy with the results and the response to the series of interviews we have been doing as part of the IAMLAKEWORTH photo exhibit which is at HATCH1121 (1121Lucerne Ave, Lake Worth Fl) Through Sunday 7/23). We have one more event this coming Tuesday when I will be interviewing painter Jen Jovan Walls. I hope to see you all at what will be a great interview about Life, Art and Gasp! Selling Art!. I have been recording these interviews with thanks to the encouragement and equipment loan from my friend Jerry Kornbluth. I am still kicking around what I will do with these interviews but at the very least they will be made available for everyone to listen in the next week or so. I would be remiss if I did not mention our sponsors who made the lectures and IAMLAKEWORTH possible. Many thanks to Lake Worth CRA / LULA Lake Worth Arts for the space for the show and so much more. Special Thanks to Emily, Susan and Jose for all they have done in support of the show. Thanks to Mathews Brewing for providing beer for the opening reception. It was a big hit and I know you have some new fans! Thanks to Common Grounds Coffeebar for sponsoring our interview series and providing the coffee part of Artists at the Gallery Getting Coffee. Thanks to Pamela at DePalma PR for all the marketing and social media support. My wife Wendy deserves a giant shout out for supporting me and my crazy ideas and showing up and helping host all of my events after putting in a full day at work. You amaze me and inspire me to be better every single day. Lastly my whole hearted thanks to the people of Lake Worth who have embraced this project and supported it from day one.
