Here we are at Day 4 in my race to the opening of IAMLAKEWORTH. Today the thirty frames arrived for the IamLW portrait pieces. Time to start printing. paper and two sets of ink arrived last week so my plan is to layout 3 shots and the quotes a day and print and assemble them. There is a method to my madness. The frames shipped 3 to a box. So this way I only ever have one box open and can control the chaos. Otherwise the show will spread out to fill my entire house this month.
Most of yesterday was spent on other business pursuits that brought me down to the Everglades. I took the time to take a guided swamp walk behind Clyde Butcher's Big Cypress Gallery and recharge my creative batteries a bit. With the pace of modern life and demands of work and family etc it is important to find balance and take time for yourself. They say it is better to burn out than to fade away. I don't accept the premise. I think its ok to leave a little gas in the tank and be able to finish the race. The photo above is one of the shots I took yesterday in Big Cypress Swamp.
